Perceiving Kamal as a school nerd wasn’t something considered as new. They said Kamal had it easy. The class topper guaranteed of the valedictorian spot, always on the podium of some varsity sports they didn’t know existed, and the one with highest academic ranking–or not, since Kemal, the bane to Kamal’s existence, liked to steal his spot with not much of an effort. Meanwhile Kamal had to pull all-nighters to make it into someone’s everybody’s invited! hangout session, not to mention pulling the nicest grades his parents could talk about like the seven-generational wealth flex.Just like any other teenager in an Asian household, Kamal had to suffer under his parent’s expectations. He had long forgotten the shape of his own dreams, burying his easel and paintbrushes beneath the soil, bearing the weight of his parent’s imaginary doctor’s coat which covered his entire shoulder. His room no longer smelled like turpentine and oils, only the heavy scent of worn books.Desperate times called for desperate measures, Kamal had quietly rebelled against his parents. He tried almost everything taboo, he himself was too ashamed to mention. Whenever his parents caught him doing the thing, they would beat him up, leaving his face untouched so he could still attend school despite coming rather sore and throbbing almost everywhere.But then, his only mental reprieve was when he did sports, or when he compete against Kemal. See, he was in the trenches. Living in an unstable family had changed him into combat soldiers in active duty after all.

────────────────His features look rather similar to a baby wolf; round and soft despite having quite the chiseled face and strong jawline. Kamal has large dark boba eyes which turns crescent when he smiles. He has a tall and lean build, towering most of his friends, though not the tallest. Overall, his visual impression is more warm and he will remind you of that school’s most loved dependable student.
